5 out of 5 stars Very worthwhile instructional video   April 5, 2009

After not playing golf for almost 30 years, I picked it up again when I retired. I have now been playing for three years and will never threaten the PGA tour with my presence. I wasn't very good then, and I'm still a confirmed duffer. (Index around 20)

That aside, after a short time of renewing my golfing career, I took a series of lessons from the local pro. He was very good and very patient, but I just never quite felt comfortable with the swing. Deciding to try something a little different, I purchased Jim Hardy's book "The Plane Truth". It had a lot of ideas that made sense and I decided to change my swing to a flatter plane which he described as the One Plane Swing. As he said, I found that a lot of the tips one picks up were not suited to this swing. They can cause "Disasterous" results in his words. True.

I then got the videos to supplement the book and they have been very worthwhile. It was very helpful to actually see the lessons which were described in the book. He covers both swing types, the upright swing (Two Plane) and the flatter swing (One Plane), and you can select the type which fits your body, flexibility and temperament.

I've found that I hit the ball much farther than ever and can even hit it straight (usually). All in all, I have been very satisfied in the videos. For a price equal to 2 or 3 lessons with the local pro, they cannot be beat.

The Plane Truth for Golfers DVD series is a great extension and follow up of Hardy's Book The Plane Truth for Golfers. Like The Book, he explains the differences between what he call the two types of swing planes in golf One Pane swings and Two Plane swings. What you get is his narration of the principals, and vision of Hardy himself explaining the movements and movments required for both swings. If you have read the book, and thought that more information is needed, then this DVD series is a wonderful follow up.

Mr Hardy's Commitment to his "two golf swing planes" philosophy is first class also. A Secrets Series of DVDs are available, where he follows up on specific areas of interest to his swing ideas. [...].

If the application of Hardy's principals of the golf swing interest you, then I can recommend this DVD series.

5 out of 5 stars The Mother of all Golf instruction!   September 15, 2007

If you are new to golf or have been playing a long time such as me, this golf instruction series is a must! Jim Hardy cuts through all of the contradictory instruction that you will find in GOLF Magazine or Golf Digest and gives you the actual blueprints for an effective, repeatable swing. His genius is that he divides the golf swing into two different types so that you will no longer be using incompatible parts with each other. I especially feel his teaching on the one plane swing to be groundbreaking instruction that you have never heard or seen before. The bottom line is that I am hitting it more consistently than I ever have before. This is not a panacea though. It requires hard work especially if you have old habits that need to be changed in order for your golf swing to be more repeatable. His continuing education Secret's from the Vault DVD's take you even further into understanding and performing the correct actions in your golf swing. I've read all of the instruction out there and have had many lessons throughout my life. No one understands the golf swing like Jim Hardy!

5 out of 5 stars An Eye-Opening Instructional Opportunity! Well Worth the Price   December 24, 2007

Through much hard work and research, Jim Hardy HAS found the "Rosetta Stone" of the golf swing. His analytical but easy approach is by far the best golf video and book series that I have ever seen. It explains and packages the contradictory golf instructional information that we have all been getting throughout the years. This video series is jam-packed full of instruction; there is no advertising here. I only wish that this was available long ago. This will befit ALL golfers, including my eight year old son. The differences between the one and two plane swings will be the main teaching aid for years to come. The whole DVD set is well organized and through; Jim Hardy has found the answer to many of our problems. Thank you Jim!

5 out of 5 stars informative and understandable   January 21, 2009

Jim Hardy's " The Plane Truth for Golfers" is the first instructional guide that I have seen which is easy to follow; easy to understand; has options; and has shown me what I need to do to help my type of swing. Most peoples instructional videos only give one option and that may or may not suit the viewers abilities.
