A "must-have" compendium for golf fans December 13, 2009 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sports Illustrated: The Golf Book is a coffee-table compendium of golf stories from the award-winning magazine Sports Illustrated. The absolutely stunning photography combined with insightful articles makes for an engaging chronology of the sport's highlights over the decades. From golf's finest and most challenging courses, to the golf legends of the past century (including Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Nancy Lopez, Tiger Woods, Annika Sorenstam, and more), to cherished artifacts and stories highlighting great moments, Sports Illustrated: The Golf Book is a "must-have" compendium for golf fans. Highly recommended.
Great Conversation Piece! December 15, 2009 Barbara L. Preis (Wilmington, DE United States) Beautiful, coffee table type book. Lovely, LARGE pictures. Definitely a conversation piece for the golfer in your life. It's a book that will be leafed through repeatedly.
Gorgeous golf book December 31, 2009 Happy shopper (Houston, TX) I bought this as a gift for my husband who loves it. It is a great coffee table book which is primarily excellent photos and some commentary. Anyway a great price and a great gift to keep for golf fanatics.
A Golfer's Must January 27, 2010 Richard Corso (Merrick, NY) I gave this as a Christmas gift to a golfing buddy of mine and he can't stop talking about it.
A must have for collectors November 6, 2009 Alp Turhan Madanoglu (mexico - city) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The people of SI do a more than fair job on the quality of all the content of this book.
The articles, photos and the way they separate the different golf "eras" makes it a must have for all the collectors out there.
For some the price may be a little unreasonable.
